Rushing Design Company is a Landscape Architectural Firm established in 1992 providing the following services: landscape design, project management and swimming pool design. The firm also provides architectural services in residential additions and renovations. Our goal in every project is to create a solution and design that is unique to each client and meets their needs and aspirations.

Rick A. Rushing, BSLA

Rick Rushing is a 1982 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture. After working in Lexington for several years and becoming a registered Landscape Architect, Rick moved to Laguna Beach, California, where he worked for a firm specializing in coastal resorts and high end residential projects. After moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico, in 1989, his work involved the architectural design and renovation of adobe structures in the historic district. Returning to Lexington in 1992, Rick established and currently operates Rushing Design Company. His Landscape Architectural Services include commercial, farm and residential design projects, specializing in the design of swimming pools. Rick has served on the Tree Board for the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government and is the co-producer of the Troubadour Concert Series.

Ashley M. Rushing, BARCH

Ashley Musgrave Rushing is a 1993 graduate of the University Of Kentucky College Of Architecture. After working in commercial and residential Architecture with several large Lexington Firms, Ashley decided to partner with her husband in his residential design build firm creating a multidiscipline practice out of Rushing Design Company in 2005. Ashley is also an accomplished commissioned artist and continues to do artwork having sold her first painting at the age of 16, when she had a one woman show at the Lexington Art League, Loudon House.
